Bearre Designs is led by David Charles, working directly with small and growing businesses across Lincolnshire from Woodhall Spa on website design, branding and ongoing support.
Over the past couple of years, David has put in hundreds of hours learning what today’s digital and AI tools can actually do for a small business — separating what’s genuinely useful from what’s just noise. Bearre Designs exists to pass that on: making useful technology accessible, not selling technology for its own sake.
The name Bearre comes from the initials of six grandchildren, in birth order — Bertie, Edie, Albie, Rupert, Roman and Elsie. A small personal detail behind a studio built on very practical foundations.
The Story
26 years running a shop taught me the one thing I got wrong.
Before any of this, I ran a computer shop in Grantham for 26 years — Grantham Computer Centre. I built it up from nothing, employed staff, and was proud enough of it to be named Grantham Journal Business Person of the Year along the way. But there was always one thing that got pushed to the bottom of the list: marketing. There was never quite enough time for it, because there was always something more urgent in front of me. When trade eventually went quiet, it was too late to fix — the work that would have kept people coming through the door hadn’t been done years earlier, when it actually mattered.

That’s exactly the mistake I don’t want you to make. I understand the pressure of running a small business firsthand — not from a textbook, but from 26 years of living it. That’s why Bearre Designs keeps its prices so reasonable, and why I lean on AI to do the work faster and more affordably: so the marketing you don’t have time for actually gets done, before it’s too late, not after.

Roots In Woodhall Spa
A village I’ve come to love, and try to give something back to.
Since 2022 I’ve been closely involved with re:new Hair & Beauty and re:new Gym & Studios here in Woodhall Spa, helping with ideas, promotion and technology. That grew into deeper roots in village life — joining the Rotary Club of Woodhall Spa as Community & Vocational Chair, getting involved with the Parish Council, and taking an active interest in the planning, grants and improvements that shape the place.
The project I’m proudest of is Woodhall Spa in Bloom — I started it from scratch, built the team, and took on the role of Treasurer. Together we’ve secured sponsorship from local businesses, organised volunteers, and coordinated the planting and improvements around the village, all building towards Woodhall Spa’s first major In Bloom judging in July 2026.
